Accounts and applications

You can browse the directory without an account. If you register, we store your email address, a hashed password, and any username or name details you add in settings. We use these details to provide your account, send verification and password-reset emails, and manage access to the service.

Artist applications contain the artist name, contact name, email address, channel URL, and optional message you submit. They are stored separately from accounts and are available to authorised administrators for manual review. Application contact details are not published in the directory.

If you email us, we use the information you provide to handle your enquiry, correction, or removal request. Please send only the information needed for your request.

Cookies and preferences

ASMRList uses session cookies to support sign-in, forms, and security. Appearance preferences use browser storage and a cookie; account navigation can also remember the sidebar preference. You can manage cookies and browser storage in your browser, although blocking session cookies can prevent account features from working.

Technical information may be recorded when handling errors and protecting the service.

Third-party services

Video thumbnails and YouTube embedded players load from third-party servers. Those services receive connection information when your browser loads their content, and their own privacy policies apply. Players use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed domain.

When Google Analytics is configured on the production website, it is used to understand site usage. Google Analytics can use cookies and collect usage information. Read how Google uses information from partner sites.

Following an artist’s channel or an external link takes you to a service with its own data practices.

Your information and requests

You can update your account details or delete your ordinary user account from profile settings. Deleting an account does not remove a separate artist application or an imported public catalog listing.

For questions about your information, application deletion, or a catalog correction or removal, email [email protected]. Include enough context for the team to identify your request. Requests are handled manually.
